My Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM Lens, a camera lens that I kept on my Nikon D90 (and Nikon D40 back in the day) about 99% of the time, took a big poop and died a week ago. Not sure what happened, but the back element is basically unattached to anything and sort of just flopping around.
Funny, because I have been seriously thinking about some new gear for about a month now; an upgrade that will require new lenses. Guess the universe handled this one for me!
Anyways. Let's have a toast to one of the best lenses out there. And one of the worst lenses in the hands of anyone else!

Oh noes! I bought my 30 because i also had a d90 and just loved the look of YOUR photos. I rarely changed the lens out. I had to send it in for repairs TWICE! The focusing mechanism just kept dying. Still, I loved that lens. It has since been stolen...along with my 90. >.< I'm interested to see what you decide to do. =)
